About Health & Life

Health & Life Underwriters was opened in 1961 by the William T. Earls Life Insurance Agency, a nationally renowned agency with roots in the insurance industry dating back to the late 1800's.
 
Health & Life Underwriters was founded because the growing market for employee benefits required expertise that only a specialized employee benefits agency could provide. They have been at the forefront of creative insurance solutions for more than 40 years. They created one of the first insurance cooperatives in the midwest region called S.W.O.B.P.A. The Southwestern Ohio Business and Professional Association (S.W.O.B.P.A.) was created in 1982 to provide buying power to small business owners.

Mark E. Gall, CLU
President and Owner, Health & Life Underwriters

Mr. Mark E. Gall graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and began as a sales associate with Health & Life Underwriters in 1991.

Mark recieved his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation in 2001 which is the most recognized designation of insurance expertise.  The designation reflects an in-depth knowledge on the insurance needs of individuals, business owners, and professional clients.

His father, John Gall, was a respected insurance agent for more than 40 years in the Greater Cincinnati Area and was instrumental in Mark's insurance career.

Mark and his wife live in Cincinnati with their 4 children.

Tad D. Krafft, CEBS
Senior Associate, Health & Life Underwriters

Mr. Tad D. Krafft joined Health & Life Underwriters Agency in 2004 as an Insurance Broker. He is designated a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  He serves on the Cincinnati/Dayton CEBS Board.

Prior to his career as a Broker, Tad was a group insurance benefits representative for over 12 years. He marketed employee benefits through brokers for all size employers throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

Tad went to DePauw University, Greencastle, IN and graduated with a BA in Psychology.  He and his wife live in Cincinnati with their 3 sons.
